I have to admit, this kind of book is a totally different YA genre for me, considering that all I've read is either supernatural or dystopian. But I can also admit, that I've read the entire book in less than 24 hours. 

It's kind of crazy how easily a normal life with normal routines can crack and how in an instant, it can all shatter. And this books makes you realize that when the shatter comes to slap you in the face. What happens in the end? You'll just have to read the book yourself and see.

I give this book 5 Nerdy Cats. Not only because it was a refreshing YA genre for me to read, but also because it was hard to put down. 

Page Turning Tuesday: The Glow by Helen Whapshott

A few months ago, Helen sent me links on Twitter for her new books. I promised her that I would read and review it ASAP, which I did.

I can't lie when I say the book is pretty good coming from a new and upcoming writer. But I also have to admit that reading the story, something felt a little off and it took me some time to ponder over what it was.

It took me up to now to post this due to pondering and dealing with my busy schedule.

But after a while, I finally realized what it was.

One thing that threw me off a little bit was the ever-changing character POVs. I'd strongly suggest that if you're going to change a POV, do it by chapter. I say this because one point that threw me off was when Jack's POV came up and I was there thinking "Who the heck is Jack?" and I had to read a little bit more into the story to realize that Jack was the Uncle who was with Daisy in the beginning of the story.

Another thing was, that the plot was kind of dull. Okay, Megan realizes that she has this gift and slowly, you see so many problems taking place. Sure, these problems gives us a little more of an introduction and a history to these characters, but in what way can these problems tie to Megan?

After that, the book was a pleasure to read, I couldn't put it down, but I guess part of that was because I was reading from the Kindle app for the first time. I'm pretty sure that I bought the UK version, but I had no trouble with it. I actually liked reading a UK book. So I'll most likely buy more.

I give this book three Nerdy Cats. Like I said, it wasn't a bad book. But not every book is perfect and I would be lying if I said that I never comment something on a book that felt a bit off to me. But Helen, you are an amazing writer and just continue writing, practice makes perfect :) I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I'm here to tell you right now that Jodi Meadows is not only an amazing and nice person but she is the kind of person who has the ability to put you on the edge of your seat and make you cry tears of joy. And in case if you were wondering, yes, I did had to prevent myself from crying in class again.

I have to say that in all truth, I am sad to see the series end. Personally, I enjoyed how the books came along and especially how I was able to enjoy it. I mean, it's not every day that you randomly decide to do a read-a-thon by reading the book the first time but to win the second book out of pure luck and to be able to get an adorable bookmark made by the author herself and to enjoy sending out tweets! As a book-blogger who is still recent and trying to juggle many things, I am glad that I was able to enjoy this experience and these may be little things to many other people but to me, they're events that inspire to come back and to continue to blog despite how crazy my schedule can be. 

But, of course, that is from personal experience. I cannot promise anybody getting the same, awesome experience that I had lived through. But, I can promise you this; Jodi never fails at creating books that leave you answering questions.

I give this book 5 Nerdy Cats. I enjoyed the fact that Jodi had managed to keep you on the edge of your seat, possibly screaming for somebody not to die, and giving you an amazing and happy ending that I can say that it is hard to master, simply because it depends on how to keep the events links, and is done beautifully. I hope that in the future that Jodi will continue to write more amazing stories.

I wasn't crying. I was sweating through my eyes.

Actually, I couldn't cry at all because I had finished reading it during class and that caused me to be so frustrated that I wanted to flip all of the whales in the world.

John Green is most likely evil.

These were my main thoughts about the book. Although it is a popular book and it will be in theaters in June (oh God, where are my tissues?), unfortunately many people haven't read it. Or perhaps that they are still thinking about reading it or not. Here's a piece of advice for you: READ IT!!

This book has put me on the edge of my seat and has made me frustrated, not only because John Green is evil but also because due to my school activities, I couldn't finish it within a day.

I will not say anything about the book. I shall not spoil it for anyone. The only hint I shall give you is to expect a slap in the face soon. 'Nuff said.

I guess I can relate to Hazel a little bit when viewing diseases. I may not have Cancer, but Diabetes has given me a sense of hopelessness. I guess this is why I enjoy this book a bit more, because no matter what we have, it shows that we can develop that hopelessness.

This book definitely receives 5 Nerdy Cats. John Green is an amazing writer and I might've downloaded more of his books the minute I finished reading this one *pokerface*

In this dark twist of Beauty and the Beast, you'll find yourself asking questions throughout the book- I know I did.
If you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast and Greek/Roman mythology and demons, this is the book for you. This book will lead you to unexpecting twists and turns that will leave you not wanting to pry your eyes away.


I give this book five Nerdy Cats. I am a big fan of Beauty and the Beast AND of Greek/Roman mythology and I found this book an absolute joy to read. It definitely made me question and wonder so many things throughout the book, but it gave an amazing and different ending that is similar to the original Beauty and the Beast (well, the Disney version anyways)

I read the book a few months ago. It is good, but I can't say that I was completely hooked. If you have seen The Time Traveler's Wife, you can already assume the ending of this book. The story seemed too dry and too expected. It felt like there was something missing but you just can't put your finger on it.

Although it won't bring much appeal or suspense, it still is a good book and I would still suggest for you to read it for fun.
I would give this book three Nerdy Cats. 'Nuff said.

Page Turning Tuesday: Allegiant by Veronica Roth

As I write this review, it has been at least around an hour that I finished reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth. If I had two words to describe this book, it would be, heart and breaking. When I got around to the end, I was close to crying during French class, that's how intense this book was.

Oh, you thought I was going to tell you what happened? AHAHA. No. You need to buy the book, read it, and roll on the floor crying like the rest of us!

Allegiant marks the finale of the Divergent series. Allegiant shows whether civilization will make it or break it, and I cannot tell you ANYTHING.

Now that I finally can settle down and re-read Catching Fire before the movie, I'll most likely finish the book in five or six days and start reading another book. OR, I will be spamming you with my Percy Jackson fanfiction until you get tired of it and I start obsessing over a new series (not going to happen in a LOOOONG while)

But I shouldn't stray to other book subjects (super ADD, hello!) Like I said, tell me your opinion on Allegiant. Did you cry? Did you immediately go on Tumblr and cry? Did you roll all over on the floor and cry? You CANNOT tell me you DID NOT CRY. If you didn't cry, then I will slap you with a fish O:
Also, if the world of Divergent was real, which faction would you be in? Do you support the faction system or no? In my opinion, I think I can kick butt being a Dauntless member.

Last but not least, I give this book 5 nerdy cats simply because it almost made me cry during class. You KNOW when a book is good when you want to cry in the middle of a inappropriate atmopshere.

Page Turning Tuesday: Insurgent by Veronica Roth

 This book was unexpected. That's basically the key sentence in this review. You get to see tragedies and traitors and people showing the different sides of them that they never shown in the first book.

The ending, WOOAH the ending. Your gonna be having your jaw to the floor at the end. But throughout the book, it's basically a uniquely different version of the Hunger Games. You've got the different factions fighting against the one who wants power and mind-control and you've got the politics. And you've got the people who will trust their guts to stop it and romance OH THE ROMANCE!

I don't know if anybody else got this or not but, I get the feeling from this series that we're all ourselves and we're all Divergent. If you got that same realization as I please comment below and give your opinion.

I honestly can't wait for the third book. I'm obsessed with this series along with any others. So, I am going to give this book, 5 Nerdy Cats (that's a no brainer). Veronica had me on the edge of my seat (or couch) and flailing my arms, waiting for the 3rd book to be publish (publish it ASAP!) The next book I'm going to be reading is Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead. I've been waiting to read this book for months and now, I shall satisfy my Sydrian feels (I must know O_O)

Page Turning Tuesday: Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

    The book Incarnate by Jodi Meadows was amazing. Originally, I would've read the book a few months later if I decided to read it on my own time. But Pitch Dark Days were doing a re-read of the book, so I wondered, why not? Sadly I couldn't read the entire book in one week. It took me two or three weeks due to the fact that I barely have free-time.

To be honest, from my roleplay characters (Yes, I'm a nerd), I can totally understand Ana. Incarnate for me, easily put me in her shoes. But the plot was very unpredictable. In the beginning, I thought that Ana had gained citizen rights, stayed with Sam, and was reincarnated. But I had no idea someone came back and stopped reincarnation for a few hours (I won't spoil the entire thing) But at the end of the book, Ana has gained more confidence and her enemies in the first book are gone.

I randomly won the Dark Days Incarnate contest. So they will be sending me Asunder. I love this book allot, hands down to Jodi Meadows. I can't wait to read Asunder. But for now, as I wait, I will be going back to read Divergent (I had to stop in order to read Incarnate) and if I'll write a review for Divergent also.

I just got Indigo Spell (super excited) and I still need to read Insurgent, the Unearthly Series, the Shatter Me series and a few Percy Jackson books as well as almost all of Nicholas Sparks' books (Did I mention I'm a sappy romance reader also?) I'm also planning on watching Beautiful Creatures in the next few days (most likely weeks) and give you the entire series review and movie review. So basically, I have allot to read!
